CSR Encounter is a Corporate Social Responsibility challenge that creates an opportunity for teams to explore some of the interesting sites and beauty of Hong Kong, while focusing their attention on charity and actively improving the surrounding community and natural environment.
The CSR Encounter is a learning journey rather than a destination. The challenges are intended to intrigue participants into becoming members of a global community, and to instil a desire to actively help improve society.
Within a given timeframe teams plan their route and decide strategically which CSR challenges they should complete to gain maximum points. Challenges range in level of difficulty and as a result attract a range of points awarded.
Example challenges include donation of non-perishable goods to food shelters; exploring environmental centres and parks; clearing up public areas; calculating Carbon Footprints; and establishing sustainable environmentally friendly actions that can be implemented in daily work activities.
Remaining budget of each team is consolidated and donated to the winning team’s nominated charity.
