Bring the high-octane excitement, thrills and glamour of the world’s most exclusive motor sport to your event with People Power Grand Prix. Racing human-powered, hi-tech go-karts this is a challenge for mind as well as muscle.
First, the teams have to build their cars. Car components are earned by taking on a series of initiative challenges that test the mental and physical skills of the teams. Once complete, the cars are built for speed with a bucket seat, lightweight tubular chassis, wide wheels and race-tuned suspension.
Drivers, pushers and pit crew are then allocated to their roles and, because seconds count, encouraged to develop their skills and tactics. Team overalls will also need to be designed and a race strategy developed – tyre changes are compulsory so it is vitally important that the drivers, pushers and pit crew are well-rehearsed and working like a well-oiled machine.
The track is fully decked out with flags, team colours and racetrack paraphernalia such as starting lights, trackside advertising and the all-important race marshals. Each team’s performance during the earlier challenges determines their position on the grid but all teams will have everything to race for.
An outdoor event, People Power Grand Prix can be run as a simple 30-minute build-and-race competition, through to a full-blown, half-day teambuilding Grand Prix extravaganza. It makes an excellent high note to finish any event as the champions take the winner’s podium and enjoy the inevitable magnum of Champagne.
