Dragon Squad

Dragon Squad unites teams to design, build, and perform a powerful Chinese Dragon or pinyin: w? long. This colourful cultural experience blends creativity, collaboration, and project management with music and movement. Participants work in harmony to craft a stunning dragon, choreograph routines, and showcase teamwork, celebrating unity, coordination, and cross-functional cooperation.

Description

Teams explore the symbolism of Chinese dragons as they design and build their own colourful creation. They choreograph a musical score, rehearse routines, and perform a coordinated Dragon Dance together. This immersive activity combines artistry, cultural appreciation, and teamwork, rewarding creativity, performance, and harmony throughout the entire experience.

Learning Outcomes

Dragon Squad challenges teams to blend creativity with practical project management. Participants plan, design, and construct a dragon by organising into specialist units that collaborate and share progress. The build phase highlights the value of cross-functional cooperation and clear communication. Teams then craft a musical score and choreograph dance moves, encouraging lateral thinking and idea-sharing. Rehearsals and final performances strengthen leadership, trust, and team unity as everyone aligns towards a polished result. This hands-on experience reinforces the importance of working in sync to deliver a complex project, celebrating the balance of individual strengths and collective effort needed for success.
