There are a lot of travel shows nowadays which can take you to the farthest places in the planet — places you may never even have heard of, some you would never want to visit and some you can only dream about. Not only are they visually engaging — with beautiful landscapes, and
stunning architecture etc. — they also manage to educate, inspire and entertain us.
In Travel Show, teams are tasked with exploring the city or location in order to research, script, rehearse and film a short travel documentary. The 8-minute travel show will need to meet certain specifications (eg. including all team members, having 2 host presenters, interview with a non-team member etc.).
The production will also need to incorporate specific venues (eg. historic buildings, famous markets etc.) and experiences (eg. trying local food, using local transport). Teams will need to carefully plan resources, divide into clear roles (presenters, camera crew, sound, location management, props and of course director).
A finale will have the teams enjoy and critique the other teams travel show and leave with a great souvenir of their visit. A creative and adventurous way to explore your conference or meeting location, Travel Show is an experience not to be missed.
