Orchestrate!

In Orchestrate, participants with no musical experience learn to play real instruments in just 90 minutes. Guided by expert musicians, they form sections and come together to perform a specially composed piece as a full symphony orchestra. This electrifying experience highlights teamwork, focus, and creative collaboration.

Description

Participants choose instruments such as strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion and learn to play in sectional groups under professional guidance. Once proficient, the groups unite under a conductor to perform a five-minute symphony. Orchestrate challenges individuals to work beyond their limits and discover the power of teamwork through music.

Learning Outcomes

Orchestrate is a demanding activity that pushes participants beyond their perceived limitations through hard work, concentration, and collaboration. It demonstrates how a symphony orchestra exemplifies teamwork where every individual, playing different roles, must tune in to others and work towards a shared goal. Emotionally and creatively, players learn to listen deeply and synchronize efforts, fostering strong communication and mutual support.
