Rusty Labuschagne

Having undergone a decade of most traumatic experiences, Rusty reveals how this fear, humiliation and helplessness impacted his life. Rusty Labuschagne is a life coach, author and foremost a motivational speaker with a unique story.

In 2003, the successful businessman was framed by a poacher and was wrongfully convicted of murder. He spent ten harrowing years behind bars for a crime that he didn't commit, living in horrendous conditions without an end in sight, but he never lost hope. In 2013 he walked out of prison a changed man and since then he has been sharing the story of how he overcame this immense adversity.

Rusty rose above life's challenges and now shares his life lessons with the world. He talks about being subjected to conditions most people would find unbearable, having to dig into his inner resources and strengths to endure the unimaginable. During his time in extraordinary circumstances, not only did he develop life-saving resilience, but also empathy and the lesson of utter forgiveness. He talks about the power of hope, the importance of gratitude - being grateful for merely seeing the light of day - and about finding true freedom.

Rusty brings this authentic message to his audience of how to harness your inner strength and determination to get you through the toughest moments, even in the most extreme conditions. Rusty has a transformative way of capturing his audience's attention, bringing a personal and touching message of hope and freedom. His life-changing story moves his audience and inspires to thrive and never lose hope.

Published in 2017, Rusty's book, Beating Chains, takes you on a journey through the darkest chapter of his life. Recently, Rusty was awarded the golden door award for his writing. He also has his own production company and is able to live-stream his presentations worldwide.
