Hole in One - give to charity as a team

Published on 20 Sep 2017 by Stuart Harris

Whether you are on the fairway or in the conference room, Hole In One is a great team building event that allows everyone to get involved in a meaningful way. Your group is divided into teams of 6 to 8 participants, each of which will be responsible for designing a miniature golf hole for another team to build and constructing their own hole based upon a design from their colleagues.

The intent is to make each hole fun, challenging and conceptually different. We provide a rich assortment of design samples, cardboard, fabric, heavy card stock, construction paper and other whimsical building supplies to stimulate innovative design and problem-solving. Aside from the course construction, each team will also be responsible for designing and constructing their own putter for game play. Once the final course has been constructed, teams assign representatives to play each hole and keep score.

In the spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility, Hole in One uses canned goods and non-perishable food items in the building of the holes and after the event, the food will be donated to a local food shelter or charity. Participants each can be assigned the task of bringing 5 – 10 items from a pre-determined “wish list” provided by one of our affiliated charities as a token of good will, and as a way to give back to the community. Alternatively, we can provide cases of canned and dry goods to use for the program which will all be donated to a food shelter after the tournament.
