Meet the founders

Published on 5 Jun 2017 by Stuart Harris

It’s been It's been an amazing 15 years since I first took the leap and co-founded Team Building Asia with my dear partners. Back in 2002, never would I have imagined that I would have impacted the lives of over 100,000 participants during the past decade or so.

No two companies are the same, and I think that this is something that higher management needs to realise. Having spoken to workers from all walks of life during our events, it has truly opened my eyes to the different perspectives that you can find as you travel up and down the office hierarchy.

Now that we’re almost two decades past the millenium, our work spaces are now seeing a mix of generations as millenials have begun to enter the workforce. This coupled with the onset of tech disruptions, changing economic landscapes and changes in the workforce truly changes what makes the glue that bonds a team together.

That is why Team Building Asia is now celebrating our 15 years of success by launching three new premium courses for senior executive leaders, centred around the integral themes of Leadership, Innovation and Communication.

Leadership

At the head of every team is a leader, and that individual is key to ensuring the success at the end of the day. There’s no step by step checklist on what makes a good leader, but if I would have to pick a good example, it would be none other then Stuart Blyth.

Stuart is the Founder, CEO and author of From Pitch to Boardroom & Football Field to Boardroom. With 25 years of corporate IT experience, Stuart is now a world-class trainer with proven success in bringing the skills of football coaching off the pitch and into the business world, developing leaders and winning teams that consistently outplay their competitors and deliver increased revenues and results.

Communication

If a team doesn’t communicate, then there is no way it can progress forward. Communication that goes both ways, both up and down the hierarchy, helps foster an unshakable bond among team members and brings about better situational awareness across the office.

That’s why we have Peter Webster, Founder of Webster & Co and Master Distributor of the Process Communication Model (PCM), who will be conducting workshops on the importance of communication.

Peter has extensive experience in marketing, corporate training and talent management. Now, as a certified PCM trainer, Peter shares this visionary communication tool with his clients, providing each with their own individualised key to unlock powerful and unique insights into the complex realities of person-to-person communication.

Innovation

The onset of technology and globalisation has brought about a new Industrial age, the likes of which we have never seen. Technological disruptions are changing the way we work, and speeding up processes to help us achieve what was once thought impossible.

If companies don’t learn to innovate, then they risk the chances of staying stagnant and left behind. One leader who excels at innovating is Ronen Gafni, Founder and Game Creator of FreshBiz and Author of The New Entrepreneurz.

A serial entrepreneur, visionary global trainer, business coach, keynote speaker and futurist, Ronen regularly features on TV, radio and in magazines. He has trained over 15,000 people in 20 countries on innovation and entrepreneurial thinking, and his talks masterfully weave together new approaches to business, education, design, and lifestyle.

Together with three of the brightest minds in the market, Team Building Asia is delighted to celebrate our 15th anniversary with this star-studded calendar of events starting this March. So join us as we Meet The Founders with Team Building Asia.
